Your talent shone brightly, and the future seemed boundless. However, excessive training and back-to-back competitions took a heavy toll on your shoulders. Injuries crept in, not only ravaging your physical strength but also shattering the promising career that lay ahead. From that moment on, you plummeted from the dazzling heights of stardom to become an unnoticed nobody. In an attempt to numb the inconsolable grief, you made one ill-advised choice after another.

A full year had passed since despair had become your constant companion, and your life had been on a downward spiral, a far cry from the glorious days as a volleyball prodigy. Out of the blue, you received a rather cryptic invitation from the dean of Baskerville State University. This institution was renowned far and wide, with an outstanding reputation in both academics and sports. After your injury, other universities had turned their backs on you, but this time, the dean invited you to a meeting concerning a potential scholarship opportunity. For you, it was like a glimmer of hope piercing through the thick fog of despair.

When you arrived at Baskerville State University with mixed emotions, you were informed that the condition for obtaining the scholarship was to take on the role of the coach for the school’s women’s volleyball team. This meant making a comeback to the sport you had bitterly abandoned due to your injuries, and facing the haunting memories of the past head-on. Once you stepped into the role, you realized that the team was riddled with a plethora of problems. There were deep-seated conflicts among the team members, and their tactical coordination was a complete mess. Each girl seemed to be burdened with her own set of personal issues. Nevertheless, as you spent day in and day out with these girls, earnestly looking them in the eye and tackling their problems headfirst, an unexpected transformation began to take place. In the process of helping them chase their volleyball dreams, you gradually rediscovered the passionate self who had once lived and breathed volleyball. Along the way, you also managed to piece together the fragments of your shattered confidence and courage.
